How to Register for CIM Student Membership
The Introductory Certificate in Marketing
Basic Qualifications:
  • Over 16 years of age
  • 5 passes at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (Local/UK) Examination including a credit in English
General Marketing Programme
Basic Qualifications:
  • Over 18 years of age
  • 5 passes at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (Local/UK) Examination including 2B’s (1 in English)
  • 2 passes at the G.C.E. Advanced Level (Local) Examination or 1 pass at the G.C.E. Advanced Level (UK) Examination
Students are required to submit the originals plus a copy of the above mentioned certificate along with a duly completed registration form to the CIM Sri Lanka Regional Office when applying for registration. (The original certificates will be returned once the copies are certified.)
If you are applying for entry on the basis of work experience:
19 years of age with at least one year’s full time work experience, preferably in Marketing or Sales (please attach a full CV to the registration form)
Exemption Criteria
The Full Qualification of CIMA
Exemption from Stage I
  • Full qualification from Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (PG Dip SLIM).
  • A Business Degree from a university.
